Joe Kawkabani
Joe Kawkabani, former CEO of OSN Group, led the company’s transformation into a leading premium content and digital platform in the Middle East before stepping down in July of this year.
Joe has over 25 years of experience in strategic leadership and investments across multiple industries. Before joining OSN Group, Joe was Group Chief Investment Officer at Kuwait Projects Company (KIPCO), an investment holding company with consolidated assets of c.$40Bn, where he oversaw the company's investments and M&A activity. Earlier in his career, Joe was co-founder and Managing Director at Algebra Capital, investing in the MENA region across multiple asset classes. Algebra Capital was later acquired by Franklin Templeton, a global leader in asset management, where he was appointed as Chief Investment Officer for MENA equities. Prior to that he served as the Head of Equity Asset Management at SHUAA Capital, an asset management and investment banking company.
Joe currently serves on the Board of Directors of KAMCO Invest (DIFC), and SARWA. He also serves on the Advisory Board of META in the Middle East and Africa. Joe has received multiple awards, including Broadcast Pro Media CEO of the Year, Forbes Top 100 MENA CEO, and FAST Company's Most Creative People in Business.
Joe holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
